Ask me all about Math workshop today!!! We had a number talk and used special math tools to show our thinking! As we worked, we tried to solve the story problem ACCURATELY and we used a whiteboard and marker to COMMUNICATE our thoughts as CLEARLY as possible. It was so cool watching everyone's different math strategies. Some friends used diagrams to solve the problem and some used equations. We worked SO hard!!!

Ask me all about Math!   We are measuring!   Today we used a new math tool called a balance.   We compared the weights of different objects in our room. Some were heavy, some were light, and some weighed the same amount!!!   When we finished we read an AWESOME book called Balancing Act, by Ellen Stoll Walsh.   The animals in the story were measuring the same way we were!  How cool!!!

Ask me all about my shadow!!!  We found them outside at recess today!!!  It was so fun.  We felt just like Punxsutawney Phil.  (Except he DID NOT see his shadow today)  Happy Groundhog's Day!!!
