Ask me all about the special Holiday gift we got from our teachers! We unwrapped it together and we were so excited to see a huge tent!!!! We put it together and we started using it right away! Our Reading Teepee is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask me all about our special snack!!!! Our Gingerbread Men ran away! Thank goodness they left us some clues to follow! We collected the evidence and searched all over the school! We finally found them back in our classroom! What a fun morning!

Ask me all about Math Workshop!  We are doing a lot of comparing!  We are comparing amounts (numbers) and objects (measurements)!  We are also practicing putting numbers in counting order.  One of our favorite apps for the iPad is called 'Lets Do Maths' (Order numbers).  We are SO good at it and we all get to work with the numbers that are "just right" for us!  How cool!!

Ask me all about the game Pounce.  We played it today on the smart board and we LOVED it!  
You have to listen carefully to the word the lion says and then POUNCE on the right one!  We used our fish lips to get our mouths ready for the beginning sound and then we looked closely at the words!!!  It's so fun!!!!

Ask me all about Informational books!  We are learning that some authors write stories and other authors write informational texts...that means books that teach us things.  Some books are "All About" books and some books are "How To" books.   We are giving informational writing a try!  It is so much fun!!!
