Ask me all about the eggs we painted today!  We used a very special kind of paint...one we made ourselves!!! We used condensed milk and food coloring to create a cool kind of paint that is shiny when it dries!!! Tomorrow, our eggs are going to crack open.  I wonder what we will find inside!!!

Ask me all about our special science project!!!  Today we had visitors from Wamogo!  Some of the Vo-Ag students came to teach us about Plant Science.  It was so fun.  We learned about what plants need at this time of year and how we can help plants by feeding and re-potting them.  Then we got to work....

Ask me all about Math Workshop! We started today with our Number Talk. We put our hands on our hearts because we love math!!!! Then when we have the answer we put our thumbs up. It's so fun explaining our thinking!

Then during Math Stations we worked hard on some new counting games. We were very careful as we recorded our information....just like real mathematicians!!

Ask me all about Reader's Workshop! We are working hard and using our kindergarten reading strategies everyday!!!

Ask me all about our Leprechaun traps! We didn't catch a Leprechaun but he did leave us some treats!!! What a great day!

Ask me all about geometry!!! Today we continued to discuss the difference between solid (3D) and plane (2D) shapes. We used our iPads to explore a living book app called Shapes That Roll. We handled and built with geometric blocks. And we painted with 3D blocks, finding the 2D (plane) shapes that are hiding on the sides of the solid shapes. It was so cool!!!!

Ask me all about Readers Workshop!!! Today we combined science and reading. First we read an informational text about weather and clouds. Then we made clouds with shaving cream and wrote all of our sight words in them. It was SO fun and our room smells SO good!!!!
