Ask me all about our new friend, Mrs. Lutz!  She is one of the district's School Psychologists and she came to visit our classroom.  She will be coming back every other week to talk about Friendship and Kindness.  We had so much fun listening to a silly story called Peanut Butter & Cupcake and introducing ourselves. We even got to drive cars around the classroom!!! (Don't worry...they were pretend!!!)

Ask me all about our green beans!  We worked hard washing, prepping, cutting and mixing our secret recipe!  We can't wait for everyone to try our delicious harvest dish tomorrow!  Our room smells SO yummy!

If you walk up and down the halls of Warren School you can find something very special.  Years ago, the teachers began a tradition that you can see all over the walls....HAND PRINTS!!!  Every student who has gone to our school gets to leave their "mark".  And today was our turn!  Mrs. U. helped our new Pre-K and Kindergarten friends paint their hand prints on the wall...take a look!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask me all about Math Workshop today!  We used the sunflower seeds that we collected from the garden yesterday.  We counted out quantities and built numbers!  We also started our Color Collages!  We love sorting and classifying.  It's SO fun!

Ask me all about our class iPads!  We are getting REALLY good at using them.  We all take very good care of the iPads and follow all of our classroom technology rules.

Ask me all about Math Workshop!!!  We took our sorting and classifying to the next level!!  We made collections and our math station friends had to guess our sorting rule!  It was so much fun!!  We tried to trick each other....but we couldn't!!!

Ask me all about the letter Bb!  It is Pp's noisy friend!  The letter Pp makes a quiet air puffing sound.  But our voice is on for the letter Bb.  Our new Secret Password is.... B  Balloon "B"!!!

Today in Math Workshop we worked with BUTTONS!!!!  We read Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, by James Dean.  We sorted and counted and had tons of fun!!!

Ask me all about the letter Pp!!!  This week we started our Alphabet Study!  We are learning the letters of the alphabet in a very special order!   We have very Lively Letters!!!  We are using imagery, kinesthetics, music, and stories to learn and remember the letters and their sounds. We also have a special secret password by our door!!!!  Our first letter pair is P/B.  They are both "Air Puffing" letters.  The letter Pp makes a quiet air puffing sound.  Our Password is 'Pp, pumpkin /P/"

Ask me all about school!!!  We have been busy settling in, meeting new friends, learning routines and playing A LOT!  

Today we began our letter study.  We are focused on the letter Pp.  It makes a quiet "air puffing" sound.  We painted, played, did puzzles, and used the iPads!  It was SO much fun!!!  We just love learning and playing together!
