Ask me all about Eric Carle!!! We started an Author's Study today!!! We looked closely at The Grouchy Lady Bug, during Reader's Workshop, because we are studying "Character" (Boy, is he grouchy!!!).
Then we looked at the story again during Writer's Workshop! We noticed many of the cool things Eric does as a writer. We started a list and then we went off and tried our hand at them. Some of us used a repeating line. Some of us wrote with different sized text. And some of us used bold, bright colors!!!
We can't wait to look closely at another one of Eric Carle's books tomorrow!!
